Hurricane Matthew Update- 2:30PM Tuesday, October 4, 2016

Building Policy for severe weather closures is as follows:

In the event of a Hurricane Warning, the building will be closed 12 hours prior to landfall and reopened once deemed safe.

At the moment, the likelihood of this scenario is decreasing, though strong winds in excess of 50 mph, and accompanying heavy to severe rainfall is expected as the storm passes along the east coast of Florida between Thursday and Friday morning.

Karl Corporation will issue a final decision on Wednesday October 5, 2016 by 5PM and will give formal notice of what the buildings status will be along with further instruction.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

The building is faced with glass that could break if struck with flying debris resulting in wind and water damage. 500 Clearlake Plaza/ Karl Corporation is not responsible for any items that may become lost or damaged as a result. It is recommended that precaution be taken in all offices particularly in window offices by securing computers, electronics, paperwork, valuables, etc. Please move them to a safer location away from windows. Additionally please note that during the storm passage, should the building remain open and functional, only one of the elevators will be in service during that period, this is to prevent anyone from being trapped inside of an elevator that is not on standby generator in the event of a power outage.
